When did you start working with Kent Occupational Therapy?

2024. I previously worked for the NHS for 7 years in Paediatrics.

what do you like about being a Therapy Assistant?

I love planning varied activities that are engaging and fun for the child to support them to work on & achieve their goals.
I enjoy seeing their confidence grow and, in turn, their self-esteem.
As a child, I struggled in school and I understand the feelings of frustration and sometimes embarrassment. I required one-to-one support for Dyslexia and also struggled with my coordination.
I know the importance of patience, encouraging and
fostering positive relationships.

Outside of work

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and 2 year old daughter, soon to be a big sister to twins.

I love being in the outdoors and in nature and my favourite activity is to explore rural areas and the coast. I especially love Cornwall & the Cotswolds. I have also been lucky to explore a little corner of Italy and Barcelona. I love finding hidden gems, little antique shops, play parks and coffee shops. I am very partial to fish and chips at the beach.

I like trying new activities, most recently Arial Hoop & Hammock. But also value quiet time, going for long walks and taking photos.
