How long have You worked with Kent occupational therapy?
Since February 2022.
what do you like about being an OT?
I specialise in child development and really enjoy supporting parents and caregivers of children who have developmental and functional difficulties that impact their wellbeing and their ability to engage in the activities that they want to do. These can be skills such as playing with friends, joining in sports, cooking, handwriting, organisational skills, dressing and potty/toilet training. For babies, it may be being able to roll onto the side or sit up to play with a favourite toy. I am also supporting parents and caregivers of pre-term babies/babies and children diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD) and a range of disabilities as well as assisting with child behaviour improvement strategies. This is my passion and I want to support your child to have positive outcomes.
Outside of work
I live in Ramsgate, where I was born and I enjoy the benefits of living by the sea, sea swimming throughout the year, cycling around the coast, beach walks and enjoying time with my family.
